At Auspicious Fish, we believe everyone has the ability to Recover. At some point in our lives, there comes a time when we need a hand up on our way through life. None of us sail through the days & years without encountering difficulties. And no matter how tough we are, we don't have to get through those times alone.
We believe we can help those who want to take control of their Recovery and return to a vibrant life.
We do this by helping them re-gain old or find new techniques/resources they need on their way. We offer services to Individuals and Businesses, and we provide services in communities.
We are LOCATION NEUTRAL!
We don't operate out of a standard office. Our services are available anywhere, using available technology. Initial consultations are by phone. We're ready to TALK.
Auspicious Fish, Inc. is based in Sunny South Florida on almost the last bit of mainland before the Florida Keys, though it's birthplace was on the North Carolina/Tennessee border. Both areas are featured in photos on this site.

"Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, an you feed him for a lifetime" - Lao Tzu
Once Upon A Time, I sat on the front porch of our vacation home in North Carolina. It was a beautiful spring day, full of promise and peace that I didn't feel. I knew I should feel more grateful of everything that was right and blessed in my life, but the enormity of what had changed over the past few years felt both ugly and overwhelming. I wanted to know if it was time.
Over the years I dreamt of running my own program, where I could SUPPORT others in a way that mattered for them. Helping was my life purpose, and I always felt the Universe backed me up on that, but at that time, the feeling was much harder to come by.
Feeling more ignored than deserted, I sat in the sunshine, wishing for a sign that showed the Universe was still on my side. The recent changes in my life were making me ill, both physically and mentally. I had to make a change and do it soon. I had a little money, it was courage I was in shorter supply of.
I sat staring at the beauty surrounding me and felt terrified at the audacity of my thoughts, when...
My attention was drawn down the slope, to the small waterfall filling the pond in front of our house. I wandered down to it, a little wary of the water snake that often enjoyed curling up on the edge in the spray.
A splash to my other side made me look down and there I saw a trout. Not so miraculous perhaps, we were trying to stock the pond with Rainbows and Browns but there it was in the shallow, rocky inlet (where it ought not to be hanging out) and here was me - with a lifelong desire to 'tickle' a fish.
Slowly I stepped closer and gingerly I knelt down. Waggling the fingers of my left hand slowly in the water in front of it, steeling myself for the slimy wriggle that would follow when I grabbed it quickly with my right. I grabbed, It wriggled, I threw it onto the lawn before it could slip away.
Astounded, I stood staring at the fish. The most Auspicious of Fish. For what better sign could I have received? "Okay, well", I said aloud to myself and whatever else listening, "message received!"
I know what to do now.
My life isn't always perfectly happy these days. Not always sunshine and rainbows. But I'm doing what I love and now I can help you find that same peace in your life.
